David Jaffee from BestStockStrategy.com, regarded as a top options trader, hosted a free options trading seminar for local Miami students.

The seminar occurred on September 19th, 2020 at 1pm EST. There were approximately 320 students from Miami who tuned in to listen to David Jaffee discuss personal finance and investing.

David Jaffee runs a popular YouTube channel, BestStockStrategy, which has approximately 20,000 subscribers.

David Jaffee has taught over 1,500 students how to trade options.

During the seminar, David Jaffee spoke about how selling option premium is the most successful options trading strategy because it provides the highest risk-adjusted returns.

David Jaffee also discussed how selling option premium can lead to traders winning 95%+ of their trades.

When a student asked about the March 2020 stock market correction, David Jaffee indicated that during periods when the market is overbought, it’s important to sell call options, ‘take the other side of the trade’ and use vertical credit spreads.

David Jaffee discussed why it’s important to trade vertical credit spreads during periods of low volatility to protect against a violent decline in the stock market, along with an accompanying large volatility expansion.

David Jaffee graduated with honors from an Ivy League university and worked at numerous investment banks (Morgan Stanley, CIBC World Markets and Petsky Prunier). He has completed billions of dollars worth of transactions and worked alongside Blackstone and Goldman Sachs.

Regarding personal finance, David Jaffee encouraged the students to learn valuable skills that they can monetize in business areas that they’re passionate about.

David Jaffee relayed his personal experiences about how he’s switched careers numerous times, and how he would have been much better off making less money in his early-20s yet focusing on one career field.

A student, Ana Perez, who attended the seminar said, ‘This was great. David Jaffee was extremely honest with us and shared his thoughts for over an hour. I learned more than in a hour than I do in months of my high school classes.”

When asked about day trading, David Jaffee indicated that he would not encourage students to day trade because the scientific research indicates that it’s virtually impossible for day traders to earn money.

David Jaffee also indicated that virtually all of the people on YouTube who claim to be day trading experts are likely fake gurus who are front-running their followers.

Regarding options trading, David Jaffee spoke about how it’s important to learn the terminology of put and call options and how selling put options can allow traders to turn themselves into an insurance company by collecting option premium.

David Jaffee believes that the most successful option trading strategy is one where traders do not use all of their buying power, instead they trade with a large safety net to protect against large volatility expansion events like we experienced in March 2020.

David Jaffee’s students typically earn about 3.5% a month with limited risk.

When asked what the best trading strategy would be for those who aren’t interested in aggressive options trading, David Jaffee said ‘if I wasn’t an options trader, then I would simple buy the S&P 500 index and sell covered calls because it’ll yield around 13% a year’.

David Jaffee has received numerous positive reviews from other industry veterans, including Emmett Moore from TradingSchools.org and Karl Domm from the Real P&L YouTube channel.

David Jaffee provides free options trading on his website, BestStockStrategy.com that you can easily access.

When asked if he will host another online seminar, David Jaffee indicated that he will consider hosting another seminar in December 2020.
